With their momentum on the rise after a couple of successful seasons, the competitive MHHC Women’s 1st team are excited for their prospects in 2021/22.

The team was formed in 2012 and quickly gained success in their very first season by winning promotion, the LRHA Women’s League Cup, and Team of the Year at the 2013 Market Harborough Sports Awards. The 1s went on to win the League Cup for the second time in three years, and in 2015/16 they again retained the Cup and earned promotion into the Feeder East of the MRHA Hockey League where they sat comfortably for a number of seasons before returning to play in the LRHA Women’s League in 2019.

The team had a successful 2019/20, ending the season in 4th place and winning the LRHA Women’s League Plate. 2020/21 began with promise before the season was cut short.

During the season the MHHC Women’s section train every Tuesday at 19:00–21:00, with additional training throughout the Summer, led by coach David Richardson. Come along to a training session or get in touch for further details.

The Women’s 1st team play in the Midlands Women’s Division 3 South East Hockey League.
